Granville Christian Academy has been educating children in Licking County, Ohio, for over 20 years. In 1997, Cathy Pound, wife to Pastor Jeff Pound of Spring Hills Baptist Church, began homeschooling several middle school students from her church body. By year two, since the demand for private Christian education far exceeded what Cathy expected, she founded Grace Haven Academy. Several years later, the growing school became known as Granville Christian Academy. Then, in 2014, Granville Christian Academy became its own non-profit entity apart from Springs Hills Baptist Church.
The primary purpose of the school was (and remains to this day) to partner with parents and local Church bodies to develop spiritual leaders for Christ. From the first handful of home-schooled middle school students, to the more than 200 students enrolled today, God has faithfully led students to Granville Christian Academy in preparation for a life-time of servant leadership. Each faculty and staff member, student and family member is part of the story the Lord is authoring through Granville Christian Academy.
