Why GCA

GCA ministers to the whole person and supports the Christian home in a very special way. GCA desires to be a partner with parents and churches to prepare a generation of Christian leaders.

Mission Statement

The mission of Granville Christian Academy is to create a Christ-centered nurturing environment with biblically based academic excellence and character development, empowering students for life-long service.

Vision Statement

The vision of Granville Christian Academy is to build generations for Jesus Christ.

Spiritual Focus

Bible class is a core subject designed to help students understand God's Word. Chapel is provided weekly to provide an atmosphere of worship and to make a direct appeal to commit one's life to the Lord. Each subject is taught from a Biblical worldview. In high school our Biblical studies include Old and New Testament survey courses, systematic theology and world religions. There are also a variety of Bible electives to choose from.

Academic Focus

GCA is a college preparatory school which offers a variety of advanced course work such as Honors Algebra II, Honors Trigonometry, AP Calculus, Honors Biology, Honors Chemistry and AP English. Also, numerous electives are available for high school students. To enhance education, K-7th grade students experience Spanish and Computers classes weekly. Beginning in 8th grade, four high school credits in Spanish are offered with two being required for graduation.

Physical Focus

Because a person's heath affects their abilities in many other areas, GCA seeks to protect and enhance the physical wellness of its students. Each day a nurse is available to address physical and wellness concerns. Physical education is taught from kindergarten through 8th grade. High School students are required to complete a 1/2 unit credit of Physical education during their four years. A full athletic program beginning in 6th grade is also available.

Fine Arts Focus

Students receive music and art instruction from Kindergarten though 8th grade and are offered similar opportunities as electives in high school. Theater arts class and drama club provide students with opportunity to learn and perform.
