The PTF has several fundraising opportunities that are ongoing throughout the year. We encourage families to participate in as many as possible. Many of these opportunities allow you to earn money for GCA by registering shopping cards that you are already using.
Kroger Community Rewards: If you have a Kroger shopping card, you may enroll or re-enroll at www.krogercommunityrewards.com. Click on "Ohio" and "Enroll" or "Re-enroll". GCA's organization # is 81609. When you use your Kroger shopping card, Kroger donates money to our school. This program has been a huge success for us and has allowed us to purchase many school supplies for the classrooms.
Giant Eagle Apples for the Students: Register your Giant Eagle Advantage shopping card at http://www.gianteagle.com/schools/apples-for-students. Every time you use your shopping card, you earn points that GCA is able to redeem for educational tools.
Meijer Community Rewards: When you enroll and use your Meijer Credit Card or Meijer 1 Card, Meijer donates a percentage to our school. The Meijer 1 Card is not a credit card and allows you to earn money for the school when paying by cash or a PIN-debit card. Sign up at http://www.meijer.com/mcr/rewards.jsp
Target Credit Card: If you have a Target REDcard, you may register your card for Target's Take Charge of Education program and designate GCA as your school. You can enroll in the store, online at www.target.com/tcoe, or by phone 1-800-316-6142. Target donates up to 1% of purchases made with your REDcard to our school.
Box Tops for Education: Clip and save Box Tops from many of the items you regularly purchase. They can be found on select items from Betty Crocker, General Mills cereals, Ziploc, Pillsbury, Green Giant, Welch's, Nature Valley, Kleenex, Hefty, Avery office products, etc. A complete list is available at http://www.boxtops4education.com/Image.aspx?id=3878. Our school receives a check for the value of the Box Tops that we submit.
Labels for Education: These are found on products such as Campbell's soups, Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers, Post cereals, BIC pens, V-8 V-Fusion juice, SpaghettiOs, Prego spaghetti sauce, and Pop Secret popcorn. Capri Sun Pouches: Save your Capri Sun and other drink pouches. We send the empty drink pouches to TerraCycle. Each drink pouch is worth $.02 and more importantly encourages recycling. Check out the website terracycle.net to see some of the products that can be purchased using Capri Sun pouches.
Scrip: Scrip allows you to purchase gift cards at face value from hundreds of retailers. Visit the website http://www.glscrip.com/ for a current list of retailers (You may also click here for a list of vendors, registration forms, and order forms). The list shows the percentage that the PTF will receive from each card that is purchased. The PTF splits this amount with 50% going to the PTF and the other 50% going toward your GCA Registration Fee for the following school year. When the registration fee is due, the PTF will let you know how much you have earned, so you can subtract that from the amount you pay. Some families have saved $100 or more off their registration fees. Scrip is also great to use around Christmas. Purchase gift cards to use when you go shopping or to give as gifts. Market Day: Each month you will have the opportunity to purchase food through Market Day. You may use the order forms to place your order, or you can place online orders at www.marketday.com. GCA’s account number is 13751. Visit the website to see what foods are available. A portion of every purchase is given to our school.
